Two killed in Lakshmipur road accident

Two people were killed after two motorcycles collided near Hossain market on Alexander-Sonapur Road in Ramgati upazila of Lakshmipur district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Md Alauddin, 25, hailed from Char Poragacha village, and Ali Akber, 27, a resident of Char Algi village in the Upazila.

Police said the accident occurred around 6.30am near Hossain market on Alexander-Sonapur Road due to dense fog. Alauddin and Ali Akber were admitted to Ramgati Upazila Health Complex where they succumbed to their injuries.

Officer-in-Charge of Ramgati Thana Alamgir Hossain said the bodies were handed over to their family members.
