Blankets distributed among cold-hit people in Bhola

Some 36,260 blankets are being distributed from the Prime Minister's relief fund for cold-hit people in Bhola.

These blankets are being distributed among the poor and homeless in 69 unions and five municipalities of seven upazilas of the district. The distribution of these blankets will be completed within the next few days.

District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer SM Delwar Hossain said that these blankets have been allocated to alleviate the suffering of
the poor, helpless and elderly people in society. These blankets have already been sent to every upazila. Distribution is also underway at various locations.

According to Relief and Rehabilitation office sources, 6,860 blankets were allocated in Sadar Upazila, 4,900 in Borhanuddin, 4,900 in Doulatkhan, 4,900 in Lalmohan, 2,450 in Tazumuddin, 10,290 in Charfesson and 1,960 in Monpura upazila.
