RMU distributes blankets among cold-hit people

Rajshahi Medical University (RMU) distributed blankets among 100 distressed and marginalized people to mitigate their sufferings caused by the present sweeping cold weather.

RMU Vice-chancellor Professor AZM Mustaque Hossain distributed warm clothes at his office premises on Wednesday.

Treasurer Professor Rustam Ali Ahmed, Dental Faculty Dean Prof Bulbul Hassan, Registrar Prof Anwarul Quadir, Planning and Development Director Engineer Sirajum Munir and Controller of Examinations Professor Anwar Habib were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Mustaque Hossain said they took the humanitarian initiative and their effort is expected to continue with limited resources in the days to come.

He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly for the development of the public in general, particularly the helpless and poor ones.
