Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 rescued an abducted schoolgirl of Lalmonirhat district and arrested the prime kidnapper from Naldanga upazila in Natore district on Thursday.
“On a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-5 with the assistance of RAB-13 conducted a raid there, rescued the victim and arrested the prime kidnapper from the area at 4 am,” said a press release issued by RAB-13 here today.
The arrested prime accused abductor is Md Hridoy Chowkidar, 22, of village Kinaullah Matbarkandi in Zajira upazila of Shariatpur district.
Earlier, Hridoy Chowkidar in connivance with his other cohorts abducted the girl, a student of class ten, of village Dolgram in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat district from the same area
on January 1. Later, the elite force started a shadow investigation into the abduction case and enhanced intelligence activities to bring the accused persons under the law of the land.
