Man electrocuted at Khulna fish enclosure

A man was electrocuted and another was injured at Baddagati village in Khulna’s Phultala upazila on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Kamal Biswas while the injured is Selim of Baddagati village.

According to locals, there is a fish enclosure belonging to one Humayun Kabir of Baddagati village in Ruher Beel. To protect his fish from thieves, he has apparently surrounded it with electric wire.

On Tuesday night, Kabir’s son Selim got an electric shock when he went there around 11 pm. Kamal Biswas, the owner of a neighbouring enclosure, was electrocuted when he tried to save Selim.
