RMP distributes blankets among 500 more people

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) has distributed blankets among 500 more poor and destitute people to protect them from cold bites during the current winter season.

RMP hosted the warm clothes distribution function in Chandipur area under Rajpara Police Station in the metropolis on Wednesday.

RMP Commissioner Anisur Rahman accompanied by its Additional Commissioners Faruque Hossain, Bijoy Basak and Samsun Nahar, Deputy Commissioner Arefin Jewel and Additional Deputy Commissioner Rafiqul Alam distributed the blankets.

Speaking on the occasion, Anisur Rahman said the RMP always remains beside people in their needs side by side with maintaining law and order in the metropolis. Such type of humanitarian assistance will continue in the days to come.

He also said the present government under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been extending need-based support to mitigate the existing plights of the cold-stricken people.

Earlier on January 17 last, the RMP distributed blankets among 300 destitute people on its Chandrima Police Station premises.
