Two motorcycle riders were killed and another was injured when a bus hit them on Barura-Lalmai road in Moulvi Bazar area under Barura upazila of the district Wednesday night.
The deceased were identified as Ahidur Rahman, 40, and Sagar Miah, 28.
Both the residents of Hesakhal area of Nangalkot upazila of the district. They were workers in a bakery in Barura munic-ipality.
The accident occurred when a Barura-bound bus of Balaka Paribahan from Cumilla hit them in the area while they were returning to the bakery from Moulvi Bazar around 11.30pm, leaving two riders dead on the spot and another was injured, officer-in-charge (OC) of Barura Police Station Iqbal Bahar Majumdar said.
Later, the injured person was sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital.
The bodies were handed over to their family members, the OC added.
