Absent students’ name on primary scholarship recipients’ list

Two students who had not appeared in the Primary School Scholarship Examination held in 2022 got scholarship under the general grade in Patuakhali.

Sazia Rahman, a student of West Ramnogor Government Primary School in Surjamoni union of Bauphal upazila, did not participate in the scholarship examination but her roll was found in the general scholarship result list published by the Department of Primary Education on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a student of Sutabaria, Government Primary School, Sushmita of Galachipa could not participate in the primary scholarship examination due to smallpox during that time. However, her name was listed under the talent pool scholarship

result list.

Abul Bashar, Headmaster of West Ramnogor Government Primary School, said that six students from his school participated in the scholarship examination, but Sajia Rahman, who got the scholarship, was not present.

Galachipa Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohiuddin Al Helal said the matter will be investigated further as this result is unexpected.
