Aush incentive for 8,000 farmers allotted in Jamalpur

The agriculture department will disburse incentives among small and marginal farmers on Aush paddy in the district in the upcoming Kharip season-1.

According to the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), office 8,000 small and marginal farmers in all the seven upazilas of the district will get the incentive.

The office said each of the farmers will get 5 kg Aush paddy seed, 10 kg DAP fertiliser and 10 kg MOP fertiliser free of cost for the cultivation of one Bigha of Land. The Office said Kharip season-1 will begin on March 16 next.

Deputy Director, DAE, Seed Marketing, Khagendra Chandra Roy said under the incentive programme quality Aush paddy seed of BADC will be disbursed among the farmers through Agriculture Department.

Additional Deputy Director, DAE, Muhammad Harun-Or-Rashid said view to increasing Aush paddy production the incentive will be disbursed among the farmers.
