The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) has fined Five shop owners Tk 17,000 for selling goods at a higher price in a drive-in Dinajpur’s Hili area.
This fine was imposed by the assistant director of district DNCRP, Momtaz Begum, by raiding various shops in Hili Bazar Thursday afternoon.
The shops were also fined for not having a proper price list.
“We are conducting regular drives so that no trader can charge more than the market price of the product as Ramadan is near. We will continue similar operations in this regard,” Momtaz said.
