15km tailback on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway

A 15-kilometre tailback created on the Dhaka-Tangail- Bangabandhu Bridge Highway on Thursday morning caused immense sufferings to the people.

The traffic jam started from east of Bangabandhu Bridge and continued to the Pouli area under the Kalihati upazila of Tangail. As a result, several hundred vehicles got stuck on both lanes of the highway, leaving passengers on the route in immense suffering.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Elenga Highway Police Station Jahid Hassan confirmed the news. The vehicular movement will become normal as time advances, the police official said.
