Govt compensate 22 more people for acquiring land in Rajshahi

The government has given Tk 3.12 crore as compensation to 22 more people for acquiring their land for various development projects in the district.

The government has acquired their lands for the implementation of seven projects, including city road widening and improvement by Rajshahi City Corporation and surface water treatment by RWASA and BKSP regional centre establishment.

The cheques of compensation money were distributed at a function at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) here on Sunday afternoon.

DC Abdul Jalil accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shariful Haque distributed the cheques saying the government is very much positive to compensate the people whose lands are acquired for the projects timely.
