Four business establishments fined in Cumilla

A team of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) realised Tk 12,000 as fines from the owners of four business establishments in different areas under Sadar Dokhhin upazila of Cumilla for various irregularities on Wednesday.

Sources concerned said the team, led by Assistant Director of the (DNCRP) in Cumilla Md Asadul Islam, conducted the drive at two medicine shops in Chowara Bazar area and fined Tk 3,000 each for selling date expired medicine and selling physician samples.

The team also fined two cosmetics shops in the area as Taka 3,000 each for selling unauthorized cosmetics in Sadar Dokhhin upazila of the district.
