International Mother’s Day 2023 was observed in different areas including Rajshahi, Natore and Hili with the call for ensuring honour, love and dignity to all mothers on Sunday.

To mark the day, the District administration and the Department of Women Affairs jointly organised a discussion at the office conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner (DC).

The main theme of the International Mother’s Day 2023 is to acknowledge the idea of motherhood. Rather, the focus is on celebrating motherhood and honouring mothers globally.

Happy Mother’s Day 2023 wishes images, messages, status, quotes: This year, Mother’s Day is being celebrated. The occasion is to honour mothers and the invaluable role they play in our lives.

DC Shamim Ahmed and Superintendent of Police Masud Hossain addressed the discussion as chief and special guests respectively with Deputy Director of the Department of Women Affairs Sobnam Shirin in the chair.

Joint Director of National Security Intelligence Sanwar Hossain, Civil Surgeon Dr Abu Sayeed Faruque, Additional District Magistrate Sabiha Sultana, Additional DC Kolyan Chowdhury and Deputy Director of Department of Narcotics Control Alamgir Hossain also spoke.

The discussants unanimously mentioned that there is no need for time and date for loving but the mothers deserve love and honour always.

Only the mothers love their kids without any intention or interest. So, the mothers should be kept above all.

A discussion was organised in Hili of Dinajpur by Hakimpur upazila administration in the morning, said local sources.

Five Shopnojoye women were accorded reception on the occasion of International Mother’s Day 2023 in Natore.

The women are Hajera Khatun, Opera Bewa, Nilufa Khatun, Rupali Khatun, and Kulsum Begum.

The Shopnojoye women were given crest at a function held at the Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sunday morning.

With Deputy Commissioner Abu Naser Bhuiyan in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by Shopnojoye mother Hajera Khatun, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Masudur Rahman, Lieutenant Colonel Samira Akhter, Additional Police Super Mahmuda Sharmin and Deputy Director of District Women Affairs Office Shapla Sharmin.
