3 to die for killing minor girl in N’ganj

A court on Tuesday sentenced three people to death for abducting and killing a minor girl in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district in 2018.

Narayanganj Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Nazmul Haq Shaymol handed down the verdict. The death row convicts are Jakir Hossain, Shahjalal and Ashraful of Kurigram district.

According to the prosecution, the convicts abducted the three-year old girl from her house at Vulta Tekpara in Rupganj and killed her for ransom on October 18 in 2018.
