Fourth grader gets financial aid for treatment

With humanitarian aid and assistance for treatment, 13-year-old Nazira Begum and her family is going to Narayana Hridayalaya Hospital in Bangalore, India.

Nazira Begum, a fourth-grade student of Surikandi Government Primary School in Fenchuganj Upazila of Sylhet, comes from a low-income family.

She is suffering from congenital heart disease that led to a hole in her heart. Her farmer father was unable to bear the costs of her treatment.

Md Salim Ahmad, the founder and general secretary of Fenchuganj International Online Group and prominent humanitarian, and Jahedur Rahman Ripon of Time of Sylhet played an important role in collecting financial aid for her treatment.

Nazira’s father, Sufian Miah, said his daughter will be under the care of Dr Devi Shetty in India and hopes that Nazira will get the proper treatment.

He also expressed his gratitude to those who financially supported Nazira.
