10 including 8 Rohingyas killed in Cox's Bazar landslides

At least ten people, including eight Rohingyas, were killed in landslides caused by heavy torrential rain at the Ukhiya Rohingya camp of Cox's Bazar on Wednesday.

Nine deceased were identified as Hossain Ali, 50; Anwara Begum, 40; Abdul Kalam, 47; Selima Khatun, 42; Abu Meher, 19; Joynab Bibi, 20; Md Hares, 2; Putni, 34 and Abdul Karim, 26.

Amir Zafar, captain of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn-8), confirmed the matter and said the incidents of hill collapse took place at camps no 8, 9, 10 and 14.

Refugee Relief and Repatriation (RRR) Commissioner Mohammed Mizanur Rahman said two people were found dead after the hilltop collapsed at camp no 9 around 3 am. Seven other people were killed in hill collapses at camps no 8, 10 and 14 early Wednesday. Two units of fire service recovered their bodies.
