Another consignment of 10 lakh Pfizer Covid vaccine doses from the US under COVAX facility will arrive in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The vaccine doses are scheduled to reach the capital at 5:00pm on a Qatar Airways flight.
Earlier on August 24, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said the consignment would reach Bangladesh on August 30.
However, Maidul Islam, public relations officer of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, said on the same day that the schedule of the arrival had been changed and the shipment would arrive on Wednesday.
This would be the second shipment of Pfizer jabs to be sent to Bangladesh from US.
The first batch of 1.06 lakh doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in Dhaka on May 31 under COVAX facility.
Apart from Pfizer, Bangladesh has so far received 55 lakh doses Moderna vaccine from US in two phases.
