Ten more people infected with the coronavirus variant Omicron have been detected in Bangladesh, according to data found on the Global initiative on sharing all influenza data (GISAID) website on Thursday.
With this, the total number of confirmed cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 has risen to 20; all cases from Dhaka city.
Of new cases, seven are female while three are male. They were between the ages of 18 to 65.
Earlier on December 11, two female cricketers of the national women’s cricket team were the first to be infected with the Omicron variant in Bangladesh.
