Ten Bangladeshis, including seven people who tested positive for coronavirus after returning from India and fled the isolated ward at Jashore General Hospital, were taken back to the hospital from different places on Monday.
Mohammad Touhidul Islam, additional superintendent of police of district special branch in Jashore, said, “We collected names and addresses of seven persons who fled the hospital and later contacted local police stations to find out them. We found two persons in Satkhira, three in Khulna, one in Kushtia and one in Jashore.”
“We will hand them over to the Jessore 250 bed General Hospital with help of the civil surgeon’s office,” he added.
The 10 people returned from India between April 18 and 24 through the Benapol land port and kept at the isolation ward of the Jessore 250 bed General Hospital after they tested positive for Covid-19.
