11 districts get new DCs

The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DC) in 11 districts of the country. The Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday issued orders appointing new DCs in Cox's Bazar, Narayanganj, Chattogram, Barguna, Narail, Bagerhat, Chandpur, Laxmipur, Barishal, Bandarban and Sunamganj.

Among the newly-appointed DCs, Prime Minister’s Office director Mohammad Mominur Rahman has been made DC of Chattogram, Liberation War affairs minister’s private secretary Habibur Rahman has been made DC of Barguna.

The other nine DCs have been transferred to different ministries and departments.

Mohammad Habibur Rahman attached to the public security division was made DC of Narail, local government division deputy secretary ANM Foyzul Haque DC of Bagerhat, road transport and highways division deputy secretary Anjana Khan Majlish DC of Chandpur, health education and family planning division deputy secretary Md Anwar Hossain Akand DC of Lakshmipur, PMO director Jashim Uddin Haider DC of Barishal, Chattogram Development Authority secretary Yasmin Parvin Tibrizi DC of Bandarban and Cabinet Division deputy secretary Md Jahangir Hossain was posted as DC of Sunamganj.

Bagerhat deputy commissioner Md Mamunur Rashid has been transferred to Cox’s Bazar and Barguna DC Mustain Billah to Narayanganj as DC, according to the official order.
