People of Chuadanga are experiencing severe cold as this year's lowest temperature in the country 9.5-degree Celsius was recorded on Friday morning.

Chuadanga Meteorological Office In-Charge Rakibul Hasan said the lowest temperature in the country was recorded 9.5-degree Celsius around 9am.

He predicted that mercury might fall further in the district tomorrow.

The chilly weather is disrupting daily life, forcing people to stay indoors and causing woes to low-income people.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said moderate to thick fog may occur over the river basins, and light to moderate fog may appear elsewhere over the country from late night to morning.
