A maximum number of 12 people, including two imams, will be allowed to attend Tarabi prayers in mosques each during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Religious Affairs Ministry issued a directive on Thursday in this regard and said the step was taken to prevent the transmission of fast-spreading coronavirus.
The ministry also said its earlier directive to avoid mosques and offer prayers at home will remain in force.
Besides, no public gathering in the name of iftar mahfil will be allowed, it said, adding that a circular will be issued in this regard on Friday.
On April 6, the ministry asked people to offer Zohr prayers at home instead of Jum'a on Friday considering the current situation of coronavirus.
