Armed Police Battalion raided a restaurant at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka and seized 120 dead chickens gathered there to cater for its customers on Saturday.
Seven persons were arrested from the restaurant during the drive led by executive magistrate Ali Afroz.
APBn additional superintendent of police Mohammad Ziaul Hoque said that the drive was carried out around 2:45pm.
“We had information that something fishy was happening at the restaurant. Based on information gathered by our regular patrol teams, a drive was conducted on Airport Restaurant near the Custom House. Our personnel found 120 dead chickens and caught seven people red-handed,” he told The Business Post.
He said none was yet to be fined for the offence but legal action was under process.
