The price of liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has decreased by Tk 3 per kg. The price of 12kg LPG containers decreased by Tk 35 and will be sold at Tk 1,219, effective from 6:00pm on Tuesday. Auto gas price has also decreased.
The new prices were announced at an online press conference organised by Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) on Tuesday.
BERC fixed the price of per kg LPG at Tk 101.62 in August, which was Tk 104.52 in July. Accordingly, the price of a 12 kg cylinder will now be Tk 1,219, which was Tk 1,254 in July.

As per the announcement, the price of autogas for motor vehicles has been decreased to Tk 56.85 per litre, which was Tk 58.46 in July.
According to the new decision, the price of centrally reticulated LPG in households has also been reduced slightly to Tk 98.38 per litre. The price of the state-owned LP Gas Company’s LPG will remain unchanged.
BERC Chairman Abdul Jalil, Secretary Khalilur Rahman, Member Maqbul E Elahi Chowdhury, Abu Farooq, Bazlur Rahman and related officials were present at the press conference.
