13 injured Wednesday in clashes over quota protests in Dhaka

Thirteen people, including students and pedestrians, were treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday in clashes related to the ongoing quota protests.

The incidents happened between the morning and 3pm in and around Dhaka University, said Inspector Md Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost.

The injured were identified as M. Kawsar (20), Md Oliullah (27), Md Nayeem (24), Md Saidul Islam (26), Md Iqbal Hossain (40), Md Sohan (28), Limon (15), Mizan (20), Ferdous (40), Awami Mahila League activist Kabita (45) from Mirpur, Nasrin (48), Rahima (50), and Cumilla Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Law College student Md Nadim Uddin Khokon (27).

Among the injured, Md Kawsar and Md Oliullah were admitted while the others were released after receiving treatment, said the police official.
