The 14th National Japanese speech contest in Bangladesh held on Saturday at the Japanese Embassy in Dhaka.

The Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB), the Japan Foundation and the Japanese Embassy organized the contest, a press release said.

At the final round of the contest, the top 16 Japanese language learners demonstrated their speaking skill.

Among the 16 contestants, Tanzina Afroz won the first prize with the speech titled "A Memorable Japanese Word" in the advanced category.

Besides, in the Beginner's category, Christina Miti Rozario came first with a speech titled "The Prince on a Black Horse", the release said.
