Another consignment of 17,70,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine from China under COVAX facility arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka around 8:00pm on Wednesday.
Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Maidul Islam Pradhan confirmed the matter.
The Emirates Airlines flight left for Dhaka at 7:20am (local time) from Beijing on Wednesday. Hualang Yan, Deputy Chief of Mission at Chinese Embassy in Dhaka shared the information in a Facebook post.
Earlier, On Tuesday, Bangladesh received Sinopharm's 17 lakh doses of vaccine under COVAX facility.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said Bangladesh would receive another consignment of 34 lakh doses of Sinopharm vaccine this week and 60 lakh doses of Pfizer vaccine in September next week.
Apart from that, he said Bangladesh would also receive 10 lakh doses of AstraZeneca vaccine soon which is likely to come under the COVAX facility.
