Seventeen members of a family in Chawkbazar area of old Dhaka have been infected with coronavirus.
Earlier, two members of the same family were tested coronavirus positive.
Chawkbazar Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Moudut Hawlader said, "Fifteen members from a family were tested positive with the coronavirus today. Two members of the same family had already been infected with the virus."
The residents of the family have been placed on quarantine and surrounding buildings have been locked down, the OC said.
