Police have arrested 2,530 drug dealers and addicts in different anti-narcotics drives across the country in the last seven days until July 18.
 
The ongoing police activities across the country are going on at the directive of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed to implement the zero tolerance policy of the Prime Minister against drugs, said AIG (Media) of the Police Headquarters Md Sohel Rana.
 
They have been arrested in 1814 cases, he said.
 
During the period, 302,259 pieces Yaba pills, 5,849 bottles of phensidyle, 2.462 kg of heroin, 820 kgs of cannabis, 2,682 liters of local liquor and 291 bottles of foreign liquor were also recovered.
