Two children drowned in a pond in Bardag area of Bheramara upazila in Kushtia on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Mustafizur Rahman, 10, and his cousin Siam, 12.
Bahirchar Union Parishad Member Asaduzzaman Kochi said the duo went to take bath in a nearby pond and drowned.
Their bodies were found floating at 12:30pm.
They were rushed to a hospital where doctors declared them dead, he said officer-in-charge of Bheramara police station Md Shah Jalal.
