2 killed, 4 injured in Munshiganj road accident

Two persons were killed and four others injured in a collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Dhaka-Nawabganj regional highway in the Kharshur Taltala area of Sirajdikhan upazila of the district on Saturday.

The accident took place when the two vehicles collided head-on in the area around 10 am, leaving six passengers injured, Senior ASP of Sirajdikhan Police Station M Mustafizur Rahman said.

Two passengers of the CNG, identified as — Sheikh Rahman, 58, and Shaheen Hossain, 26, were taken to Nawabganj Upazila Health complex where the on-duty doctors declared them dead, he said.

The driver of the CNG and three other passengers are admitted at the health complex.

On information, Police rushed to the spot, moved the vehicles and eased out the traffic congestion, the police official added.
