Two people were killed when a thunderbolt struck them in Santhia upazila of Pabna district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Imran Hossain, 28, son of Joynal Pramanik of Pathailhat village in the upazila and Arif Hossain, 15, son of Afsar Ali of Shahzadpur upazila in Sirajganj district.
Quoting local people, Asif Mohammad, officer-in-charge of Sathia Police Station said a streak of thunderbolt struck Imran while he was working at his eggplant field.
Besides, Arif, who came here as a worker, died while working at the melon filed in the upazila in the morning.
