Two children were killed as a tractor overturned at Lantirmati village in Kanaighat upazila of Sylhet district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Nayim Ahmed,8, and Mayisha Begum, 5.
Driver of the tractor Sharif Uddin sustained injuries.
Witnesses said Sharif Uddin was ploughing his land with the tractor while Nayim and Mayisha were sitting beside him.
At one stage, the tractor got overturned, leaving the two children dead, they said.
Officer-in-Charge of Kanaighat police station Tajul Islam said police have visited the spot.
No case has been filed yet in this connection, he said.
