Two more victims of Narayanganj mosque blast succumbed to their injuries at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute on Thursday taking the death toll to 31.
The deceased were identified as Nazrul Islam and Sheikh Farid.
They breathed their last in the afternoon, said resident physician Dr Partha Sankar Pal.
Around 40 people were injured in the blast at a mosque in Fatullah last Friday night. Of them, 37 were taken to the Dhaka hospital in critical condition and 29 of them died.
Several committees were formed to investigate the incident.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had earlier directed the authorities concerned to ensure the best treatment for the injured.
Meanwhile, the High Court on Wednesday ordered Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd to provide Tk 5 lakh each to the families of the victims within seven days.
Justice JBM Hassan and Justice Khairul Alam’s bench issued the order after hearing a writ petition. Titas Gas has to submit the compensation to the deputy commissioner for distribution.
