Two youths were killed and another injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway around 9:00pm on Friday in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi.
The deceased were identified as Farhad Bhuiyan, 22, son of Chabikul Islam Bhuiyan, and Farhad’s nephew Shakil Bhuiyan, 20, son of Delwar Bhuiyan of Chaitanya village under Shibpur's Joshar union.
The injured, Tanvir, 12, a madrasa student, is in critical condition and undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
Mohammad Noor Haider Talukder, officer-in-charge of Itakhola highway police outpost, said two youths on a motorcycle died on the spot when an unidentified vehicle ran over them.
The bodies were handed over to their families without any autopsy upon their request, he added.
