Members of Border Guard Bangladesh on Tuesday recovered 2.2 lakh yaba pills from Cox's Bazar's Teknaf upazila.
Tipped-off, a team of BGB-2 conducted a drive around 3:10am in Gafurer Fish project area of the upazila, the BGB said in a press release.
Sensing the presence of the border guards, suspected smugglers dropped four polythene bags they were carrying and fled to the deep jungle on the banks of the Naf river.
Later, the law enforcers recovered the pills from the bags.
A legal process is underway after the seizure of the drug, added the release.
