The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification promoting another 22 officials from deputy secretary to joint secretary.
The disclosure came in a notification issued by order of the president Tuesday, and signed by Public Administration Ministry Deputy Secretary Md Alamgir Kabir. Last Sunday, 201 officers were promoted to the post of joint secretary.
The promoted officers have been made Officers on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Public Administration. However, no order has been issued positioning the new joint secretaries.
According to the notification, if the office/workplace of an officer has already changed from the workplace mentioned in the promotion order, they should submit the joining letter mentioning the name and address of the working office.
Officers granted the rank of joint secretary will be promoted and receive arrears from the date on which they are superseded by junior officers.
The notification states that the authority reserves the right to amend/cancel this order as necessary if any adverse/contrary information is received against any officer at a later date.
According to the notification, the officers promoted to the post of Joint Secretary can send their joining letter directly to the senior secretary of the ministry of public administration or by e-mail ([email protected]).
Many of the promoted officials were deprived during the last Awami League government.
