Police have recovered 23 crude bombs from inside a drain on the west side of a chemical shed in the Benapole Land Port area.
The bombs were recovered around 8:30pm on Monday. However, no arrests were made at this time.
Police are still investigating whether the crude bombs were kept there for sabotage.
Benapole Port Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamal Hossain Bhuiyan said a team of the station led by the OC raided the premises and recovered 23 crude bombs after receiving a tip-off that a large number of crude bombs were found in a drain near chemical shed no 35 in Benapole Port area.
We are investigating who kept the bombs there, said OC Kamal.
A case has been registered in this regard.
