A total of 259 Bangladeshi nationals left Dhaka on Wednesday (June 17) for Italy by a special flight of the national flag carrier.
The special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the Bangladeshis left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Rome, Italy at 12:05 pm.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines Deputy General Manager (Public Relations) Tahera Khandaker confirmed the matter.
She said, “All Bangladeshis residing in Italy have now been sent back there and they will soon join their respective jobs.”
"All the Bangladeshi nationals were carrying Covid-19 negative certificates," she added.
Earlier on Friday, another chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines took 287 Bangladeshis from Dhaka to Rome.
