The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate on Friday recovered 28 gold bars weighing 3.248 kg from a Biman Bangladesh flight seat at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
However, nobody was arrested regarding this matter, CIID’s Assistant Director Md Iftekhar Alam Bhuiyan said.
Bhuiyan told The Business Post that acting on a tip-off their members took a position in different parts of the airport and searched Biman Bangladesh flight BG-5046, which came from Dubai around 2:00 am on Friday.
Later, they found 28 gold bars, which weighed 3.248 kg worth Tk 2.06 crore, he added.
