The second batch of Rohingyas consisting of 1000 people has left Cox's Bazar camps for Bhasan Char on Monday morning.
Thirteen vehicles and 20 trucks carrying the group departed from Ukhia Degree College field around 11:45am.
Moreover, two more groups are set to leave Cox's Bazar by tonight.
The three groups will stay in Chittagong for a while before sailing to Bhasan Char on Tuesday.
The government is planning to relocate around 100,000 Rohingyas in the island.
The first batch of 1,642 refugees reached the 13,000-acre island on the Meghna estuary in Noakhali’s Hatia by six navy and one army vessels on Dec 4.
