A total of 3,178 Indian nationals returned to their home country through Benapole Immigration Check-Post in the past week.
Benapole Immigration police in-charge Ahsan Habib confirmed the matter and said 481 Bangladeshi citizens came back in the last seven days.
The Indian government restricted entry on March 27 due to Coronavirus pandemic.
Later on August 18, Indian authorities permitted entry with Covid-19 negative reports.
