Three accused, in a case lodged over MC College hostel gang-rape of a house wife, gave their confessional statements as they were produced before a Sylhet court on Friday, reports BSS.
They were prime accused of the incident Saifur Rahman, 25, Arjun Lasker, 25, and Robiul Hasan, 28.
Md Ziadur Rahman, additional chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Sylhet, recorded the statements of Arjun and Saifur under section 164, after their five-day remand, according to the court sources.
Another accused, Rabiul gave his statements before Judge Md Saifur Rahman of Metropolitan Magistrate Court-2 at night.
Later, the court sent them to jail. The remaining five other accused are on a five-day remand.
A woman was gang-raped in Sylhet MC College hostel area on September 25.
Later, the victim’s husband filed a case on September 26 against nine people with Shah Poran thana.
