A woman and her two children were killed after a fire broke out following a gas cylinder blast at their house situated at Khaksha Uttorpara village under Baraigram upazila of the district on Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Shoma Begum, 35, her daughter Amia Khatun, 10, and her son Md Amor Hossain, 05. Shoma’s husband Oli Box Pramanik, 42, and another one were injured as they were trying to save them from the fire.
Officer-in-Charge of Bariagram Thana Abu Siddique said the blast occurred at around 10 pm last night when Shoma Begum preparing dinner in Kitchen. Shoma and her two children died on the spot.
Injured people were admitted to Natore Sadar Hospital.
Deputy Commissioner of Natore Shamim Ahmed visited the spot.
