A Dhaka court today sentenced three people to death for the murder of a woman and her son in Kakrail area of Dhaka on November 1 of 2017.
Third Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge of Dhaka Md Rabiul Alam delivered the verdict on Sunday.
The convicts are Abdul Karim, Sharmin Mukta and Al Amin alias Jonny.
Earlier on January 10, the same court fixed January 17 for delivering the verdict of this murder case.
After the conclusion of arguments, third Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge of Dhaka Md Rabiul Alam fixed the date for the verdict on January 17.
On November 1, 2017, Shamshun Nahar Karim, 46, and her son Shawon, 17, an ‘A-Level’ student, were killed in their residence in the capital’s Kakrail area.
Shamsunnahar’s brother Ashraf Ali filed a case on the next day against her husband Abdul Karim, his second wife Sharmin Mukta, Mukta’s brother Al Amin alias Jonny and others.
