Three people including two minors were killed and as many as injured in two separate road accidents in Manikganj in last one day.
In the first accident, two persons including an infant were killed and three others injured when a mini truck collided head-on with a CNG run auto-rickshaw near Narikuli bridge on Hemayetpur- Manikganj Regional High Way last evening.
The deceased were identified as Infa, a seven-month-old female baby, daughter of Md. Ruman of Savar Upazila under Dhaka district and another Nazimuddin, husband of Anwara Khatun, a nurse of Singair Upazila Health Complex.
Md. Rokibuzzaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC), Singar said the accident occurred at about 6 pm when the badly damaged CNG after collided fell into the roadside ditch leaving two killed on the spot.
Two other injured were admitted to Singair Upazila Health Complex and the critically wounded driver was admitted into a clinic at Savar.
In the second accident, one Selim Mia (5), son of Lovlu Mia of village Teghuria under Shibalaya upazila of the district was killed when a private car knocked him near Paturia ferry ghat at about 12 am this noon while he was crossing the road.
Separate cases were filed with respective police stations in this connection.
