Three workers of a brick kiln were killed and two others injured as a truck ran over a CNG-run autorickshaw in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria in the early hours of Friday.
The accident took place on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in the Baishamura area.
The deceased were identified as Jahangir Mia, 35, Mahfuz Mia, 32, and Amzad, 30, all residents of Shahbazpur village in the upazila.
Injured Khejur Mia, 45, and Kamal Mia, 40, have been sent to a local hospital.
Khatihata highway police station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Shahjalal Alam said the workers were going to their workplace at Chandura in Bijaynagar upazila riding the autorickshaw.
A truck coming from the opposite direction collided with the vehicle, leaving the three dead on the spot, the police official added.
