Three people were killed as a train hit a microbus carrying passengers in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar Sunday afternoon.
The accident took place at Hossainpur level crossing near Bhatera railway station around 12:30pm.
Identities of the victims could not be known immediately.
Kulaura police station Officer-in-Charge Binay Bhushan Roy said the Sylhet-bound intercity train, Parabat Express, from Dhaka rammed the microbus while the latter was crossing the unguarded level crossing.
Three passengers of the vehicle died on the spot, he added.
