At least four people, including three members of a family, were electrocuted in Dhaka’s Mirpur area on Thursday night.
Identities of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately. The incident happened in front of Dhaka Commerce College.
Locals said five people were injured in the incident around 10pm. Later, they were rescued and taken to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared four of them dead.
The bodies were kept at the hospital morgue, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Mirpur zone) Jashim Uddin Mollah.
